Notes of interest:

Our 3rd Annual Dove Tune-up is schedule for Sunday, Aug. 31.  This year, we are happy to have added a snake-proofing clinic to our schedule of activities.  The event will begin at 8:00 a.m. and we will have skeet-shooting and live birds for the dogs, in addition to the snake-proofing.  At lunch, we will serve hot dogs.  Please bring a chair, plenty of drinks, shotgun and shells, and your dog!  We would appreciate it if you would RSVP by Aug. 25.

Our goal this Fall is to focus on AKC hunt tests in order to qualify dogs for the 2009 Master National, which will be held at the Fuller Ranch in Manheim, Texas- only 10 minutes from our kennel.  Throughout the Fall, we plan to run 7 AKC Hunt Tests, 1 AKC Field Trial, the Fall HRC Grand, 1 HRC Upland Test, and 1 Super Retriever Series.

We are located in Central Texas, approximately 45 minutes east of Austin.  Our property consists of 21 acres with two ponds- both of which have been technically designed to provide challenging hunting and testing scenarios for the training retrievers.  Our facility features twenty-five "Preifert" kennels that offer the utmost in security and comfort for your dog. The kennel building is located in a grove of large oak trees, with an open air design which provides a cool climate for your dog during the hot Texas summer.  Our training grounds are constantly being improved to provide us with the tools needed for successfully training finished hunting retrievers, and we have access to thousands of acres of training property within 30 minutes of the kennel. Our training programs are designed for preparing retrievers for the field or competition. So, if you desire both a well-mannered house companion and a stylish hunting retriever, then we are the kennel for you. We actively and successfully participate in AKC hunt tests and field trials, UKC hunt tests, the Super Retriever Series, and the World Retriever Championship.
